Kristina is a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist who has over 24 year’s experience working in the NHS and in the private sector. One of her special interests are treating back and neck problems but also ligaments sprains, tendon problems, muscle strains and postural problems. She is also an expert in the management of sports injuries, rheumatological conditions and post – operative rehabilitation.
Kristina graduated from Hanover in Germany in 1999 as a Physiotherapist. After obtaining her degree she moved to the Island Sylt, in the most northern part of Germany, to work in a private practice where she was treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
In 2001 she moved to London and started her career in the NHS, with Imperial College Healthcare Trust being her last NHS employer. She worked at specialist level, working closely with Spinal and Lower Limb specialists treating both acute and chronic conditions referred by GPs and Consultants.
She not only worked closely with the Consultants but also had a leading role as a clinical mentor for physio students and junior members as well as being asked to help educate medical students.
After leaving Imperial College, Kristina self-published a children’s book but soon realised that she missed Physiotherapy too much, at which point she started her career in the private sector at a top London Hospital, working in the outpatient department alongside a private multidisciplinary clinic in East London.
Kristina has a strong interest to identify goals and create an action plan together with her clients using evidence-based practice to help patient recovery using a wide range of treatment modalities.
