Sat 22 February | 9:00am | Intermediate - Dynamic Reformer Pilates A step up in pace and intensity, and definitely not for first-timers. Expect a varied and challenging workout with more functional progressions and an emphasis firmly on effort and results. | Courtney Wood![]() Courtney was raised in a sporting nation, where her vision of life encompassed physical pursuits, outdoor adventures, and true tests of determination. With time, she began to understand and value the capability of her body. She thrived on commitment to training, exerting her body to her own vision of success. Many times, she was faced with challenges she did not believe she could endure, and each time, she did. Realising the vital role her mind played in her performance, she began to follow a more holistic approach to training. She has since found exercise a wonderful connection of her body and mind, developing her physical and inner strength. Courtney’s passion for sport remained with her throughout her childhood and adult years, leading her down the path of attaining a Sport and Exercise Science degree from the University of Surrey. She gained three CIMPSA qualifications throughout her degree: Gym Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Working with People with Long Term Conditions. She explored pathology, immunology, and exercise referral during the course, which confirmed her passion for the clinical sector. There is strong scientific evidence that being physically active can lead to a healthier and happier life, while also reducing risk or aiding the management of some conditions. Exercise has also been proven to help prevent non-communicable diseases such as, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Therefore, an understanding of how the body responds to exercise, on a physiological level, seems fundamental to achieving optimal results.
Courtney is a hard-working individual, dedicated to learning and applying her knowledge. She grasps the uniqueness of the human body and intends to train each client as distinctively as possible. Courtney is a positive, calm person with a kind heart. She has a good sense of humour and values the importance of a comfortable training environment. Your health and safety are her top priority.
She would love to be a part of your fitness journey, with your fitness goals leading the way. | Ten - Hatton Garden | Book Now | 1740214800 |

She taught dance from beginner to professional level for over 20 years, and also taught Pilates classes at all levels – from absolute beginners all the way through to advanced, vocational dance students. She was fascinated by the challenge of encouraging non-dancers to achieve the posture, alignment and movement quality that were second nature to her. Shifting from dance into the wellness space, Liz qualified as a PT and spent many years coaching clients, always using Pilates as the initial foundation for teaching movement. In line with her own beliefs in holistic wellbeing, her coaching always looked to enhance both physical and mental health. Alongside this she returned to teacher training, coaching, mentoring and assessing PT’s, Pilates and Reformer instructors, through to Master level.
Having taught Pilates for over 30 years, Liz loves teaching this to all people, of all ages, and all abilities! Her passion is finding the right way to help YOU to better understand movement, and she utterly believes that this is different for each and every individual she works with. You will always leave her classes knowing that you have worked hard, but you’ll have smiled hard too! Above all, over time you will start to better understand your own body and its unique abilities.
Having spent 20 years living and working in Greece, Liz still gets back there for Greek food & sunshine whenever she can! When not in the studio or in the gym, she loves to travel and spend time with friends. | Ten - Chiswick | Join Waitlist | 1740225600 |

This motivated her to pursue a degree in Physiotherapy in Colombia, where she graduated with honors and received a scholarship for academic excellence.
Throughout her career in Colombia, she gained experience working with a variety of populations, including professional tennis players, orthopaedic rehabilitation at the largest military hospital in the country, and in the ICU of one of the most complex hospitals in the nation. She has continued to expand her expertise with further qualifications, including certifications in Pilates, Kinesio taping, and a diploma in respiratory care for critical patients with AHA certification.
Additionally, she completed a Master’s degree in Health Management, enhancing her understanding of healthcare systems. In 2019, she moved to Shanghai, where she worked for four years and discovered her passion for teaching. This led her to relocate to London, where she now combines her clinical expertise with her enthusiasm for education. Her goal is to continue making a positive impact on the health and well-being of people through physiotherapy and education.
Pilates resonates with Lorena’s philosophy about the human body and movement. She believes in the importance of training the body to create a broad range of movement variability, which doesn’t necessarily mean performing complex or advanced exercises. In fact, she believes in mastering the basics first, which creates a solid foundation for more complex and dynamic movements later.
For some, this idea of focusing on simplicity can seem boring or repetitive. However, Pilates proves that even the most basic movements can be transformed into challenging exercises through careful attention and intention. Every day, she sees how the smallest adjustments in alignment or focus can turn a seemingly simple movement into a powerful and effective one. Pilates aligns perfectly with this belief by emphasising control, precision, and mindful movement, which are essential for both injury prevention and improving overall function.
In her classes, participants can expect a strong focus on form and progression through layers. She begins with the basics, ensuring that they have a solid understanding before moving on to more advanced exercises. Once they’re ready, she safely builds on that foundation to elevate their practice.
Above all, she values movement variability. Her goal is to prepare her students to move confidently in different environments and situations while helping them feel safe and comfortable in their bodies. She wants them to feel empowered to keep moving, knowing that they have the strength and stability to do so with ease.
As a Colombian, dancing holds a special place in her heart, with salsa being her favourite style. She also loves to learn and explore new things, whether it’s singing, playing the piano, learning new languages, or writing. | Ten - Nine Elms | Book Now | 1740236400 |

During her time at school, she had the opportunity to immerse herself in a wide range of dance styles through artistic workshops. These included traditional Chilean folklore, various Latin American dances, cheerleading, as well as modern and contemporary dance. These experiences allowed her to develop a deep appreciation for the diverse forms of expression within the world of dance.
This passion for movement and expression led Natalia to pursue a comprehensive education in Dance, with a specialization in Contemporary Dance, at ARCIS University. It was during her studies that she was introduced to the Pilates Technique, which profoundly impacted her approach to physical fitness and well-being. The dynamic and fluid nature of Pilates exercises resonated with her, and she was inspired by the rapid and tangible results it delivered in terms of strengthening and toning the body.
After completing her degree, she decided to deepen her involvement in Pilates by pursuing training as a Pilates mat and comprehensive instructor at Pilatesqi Chile. This additional training has allowed Natalia to expand her expertise and share her passion for Pilates with others.

| Ten - Nine Elms | Join Waitlist | 1740214800 |

She has been dancing for many years in a variety of styles such as Contemporary, Ballet and Hip Hop. Beth carries her love for movement and creativity, as well as the discipline, determination and hard-work required as a dancer through all aspects of her life and work. During her time studying dance at university, Beth completed modules in dance science and physiology, which further developed her understanding of the body from an anatomical perspective. This helped her to condition her body effectively to be fit for dance, but also increased her awareness of injury prevention. This led to a greater interest and understanding of fitness, with Pilates being the most beneficial form of exercise that supplemented Beth’s training as a dancer. Beth loves the technique in Pilates and believes the traditional Pilates principles of Flow, Precision, Control, Concentration, Centring and Breathing are what makes Pilates stand out as a form of exercise. The level of focus and control required in a class enables the mind to become wholly present and in tune with the body and breathing. The result is a strengthening and empowering workout for both the mind and body.
Beth has been teaching Pilates in a variety of settings, from small gyms, to leisure centres, corporate organisations, and classes and at community events. She loves to teach and connect with people, always providing a kind, welcoming environment to ensure everybody can benefit from the class and feel comfortable to achieve their best. Her focus is to provide a safe but effective workout, building strength and control for the deep stabilising muscles to support everyday movement. She is passionate about injury prevention and wants to help people feel strong and empowered in their bodies. | Ten - City | Book Now | 1740236400 |

In line with her own beliefs in holistic wellbeing, her coaching always looked to enhance both physical and mental health. Alongside this she returned to teacher training, coaching, mentoring and assessing PT’s, Pilates and Reformer instructors, through to Master level.
