Eloise’s passion for working within an exercise sector started when choosing her GCSE’s. One of her biggest achievements was completing her undergraduate dissertation. She focused on individuals post stroke and created a series of presentations to change their behaviours towards physical activity. To further her development, she then undertook a master’s in clinical exercise physiology which allowed her to specialise and improve her knowledge on prescribing exercise to people suffering from medical conditions and facilitating change in behaviours towards leading a healthy lifestyle. Eloise knew she wanted to change people’s views towards exercise after clinical diagnosis, whether that be after a life-changing event or ongoing medical condition.

During Eloise’s master’s degree, she was fortunate enough to talk to people who have been through cancer and cardiac rehabilitation, showing how important exercise is following these events. Talking to people who have followed rehabilitation programmes inspired Eloise to follow an interest in clinical exercise and continues to keep up to date with current research. Eloise previously worked as a sports and teaching assistant in a primary school, allowing her to teach different sports and exercises to a variety of children, ranging from 4-11 years old. She learnt many vital lessons from this job, including the ability to adapt exercise to suit everyone. Regardless of whether she is in a school setting or gym, she has a smile on her face and always looks for the positive rather than the negatives.

To expand her knowledge, Eloise completed her Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Training qualifications. This led her to develop extensive experience working with various individuals and tailoring exercise programmes. She has a strong belief that exercise should be fun and tailored to everyone, so communicating, discussing, and working with clients to create their exercise programmes is vital.

Eloise has shown true talent in athletics, specifically in long and triple jump. She has previously competed for England and Great Britain as a young athlete, and after battling injuries, hopes to get back to national level of competition in the upcoming years. She understands how hard it can be to lose confidence in your exercise capabilities and knows that sometimes you feel like it’s easier to stop and give in to failure, but with the right support team around you, anything is possible. She found the right support needed to get her back enjoying the sport and managing her injuries and she wants to use her own experiences and challenges to help other people.
