Rhys brings a wealth of experience and passion to his sessions shaped by a decade-long career as a professional contemporary dancer and choreographer. His unique background in dance and movement arts has provided him with an in-depth understanding of the human body, which he now uses to help others achieve their fitness and wellness goals through Pilates. The transition from a professional dancer to a Certified Pilates Instructor was a natural evolution of Rhys’ passion for movement and well-being. He is committed to helping clients enhance their strength, flexibility, posture, and overall physical health.

 

Rhys’ teaching style is a blend of the artistry of dance and the precision of Pilates. He believes that Pilates can benefit individuals of all backgrounds and fitness levels. He focuses on improving core strength, alignment, and body awareness, drawing from his extensive experience as a movement practitioner to create dynamic, engaging sessions.

No prior experience is necessary for this class; a basic level of fitness is helpful but not essential. Clients are introduced to the equipment, techniques and some basic exercises. Recommended as your first class with Ten or for those of you who would like to practice at a gentler pace - though it's still more than enough of a workout to get those all important endorphins going.
