With time, she began to understand and value the capability of her body. She thrived on commitment to training, exerting her body to her own vision of success. Many times, she was faced with challenges she did not believe she could endure, and each time, she did. Realising the vital role her mind played in her performance, she began to follow a more holistic approach to training. She has since found exercise a wonderful connection of her body and mind, developing her physical and inner strength. Courtney’s passion for sport remained with her throughout her childhood and adult years, leading her down the path of attaining a Sport and Exercise Science degree from the University of Surrey. She gained three CIMPSA qualifications throughout her degree: Gym Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Working with People with Long Term Conditions. She explored pathology, immunology, and exercise referral during the course, which confirmed her passion for the clinical sector. There is strong scientific evidence that being physically active can lead to a healthier and happier life, while also reducing risk or aiding the management of some conditions. Exercise has also been proven to help prevent non-communicable diseases such as, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Therefore, an understanding of how the body responds to exercise, on a physiological level, seems fundamental to achieving optimal results.
Courtney is a hard-working individual, dedicated to learning and applying her knowledge. She grasps the uniqueness of the human body and intends to train each client as distinctively as possible. Courtney is a positive, calm person with a kind heart. She has a good sense of humour and values the importance of a comfortable training environment. Your health and safety are her top priority.
