Favourite things to treat:

I like to treat sport-related injuries, in particular shoulders and running-related injuries.

Mattia graduated with a BSc. in Physiotherapy in 2013 at the University of Eastern Piedmont, in Italy. Straight after completing his degree, he started working in one of the biggest hospitals of Northern Italy. Here he treated patients with various orthopaedic or neurological conditions, as well as people who undergoing surgery.

In 2016 he moved to the UK where he started specialising in the field of MSK and Sports physiotherapy. He furthered his interest in this area by completing a MSc in Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham in 2020.

Over the years, he has worked to stay at the cutting edge of physiotherapy practice, by attending several courses on motor control, manual therapy and sports rehabilitation, all while gaining direct experience working as a MSK physiotherapist across private practice and hospital setting in London.

In 2021 he went back to Italy to work as a sports physiotherapist for Club Italia, a club of young talented female volleyball players that takes part in the Serie A2 of the Italian Championship. This role led Mattia to become the physiotherapist of the National Under-17 female volleyball team for the 2022 European Championship.

Mattia loves sports himself, he was a swimmer and football player during his childhood, but over the years has developed a keen interest in bouldering and long-distance running, leading him to run the Berlin Marathon in 2019. Being a sports-person himself, and working with professional athletes, has given him a deep understanding of athletes’ needs.

Mattia is genuinely passionate about his job. He constantly strives to keep up with the latest evidence to provide the best available treatments to his clients. He always tries to listen and understand what the specific goals of his clients are, and to devise personalised treatment programs which will help them to achieve those. He believes that with teamwork everything can be achieved, this is why he always involves his clients in the decision-making process.
