| Fri 20 March | 11:00am | Beginners to Intermediate - Dynamic Reformer Pilates Transition Class For anyone who’s been taking Beginners classes for a while and is thinking about stepping up to Intermediates, but may be a little nervous about the transition or unsure if they are ready. Slower paced than a normal Intermediate class, you’ll learn how familiar exercises are transformed into an intermediate progression. It's also the ideal environment to get to grips with some of the new and more challenging exercises you’ll encounter. | Joana Carmo (Physio)![]() Joana graduated in 2015 from the Red Cross School in Portugal, where she developed special interest in sports and musculoskeletal injuries – prevention and rehabilitation.
While still in college Joana volunteered to work as a physiotherapist apprentice in different sports settings: Football with adults; Gymnastics with teenagers; and Handball with adults and teenagers. She continued to work with these groups after her graduation. These experiences provided her the opportunity to deal with complex injuries and to work with people of all ages right from the beginning of her career.
Joana moved to the UK at the end of 2016, where she studied dry needling and acupuncture. She has worked in a private physiotherapy setting and continued to maintain a full case load of clients with musculoskeletal injuries. In her time in the UK she has seen an increasing number of patients with chronic lower back pain, for which she developed special interest alongside her sports injury speciality.
Her goal is to use her skills and experience to educate and increase understanding of injuries/conditions. With this groundwork, she will work with her clients to build up a treatment plan that is highly customised and in line with your goals. Through dry needling, exercise and manual therapy, Joana will be able to provide her clents the resolution of their conditions as well means to avoid or prevent injury reoccurrence.

It's also the ideal environment to get to grips with some of the new and more challenging exercises you’ll encounter. | Natalia Sofia Salas Dalmazzo![]() Natalia has had a passion for dance from a very young age. During her time at school, she had the opportunity to immerse herself in a wide range of dance styles through artistic workshops. These included traditional Chilean folklore, various Latin American dances, cheerleading, as well as modern and contemporary dance. These experiences allowed her to develop a deep appreciation for the diverse forms of expression within the world of dance.
This passion for movement and expression led Natalia to pursue a comprehensive education in Dance, with a specialization in Contemporary Dance, at ARCIS University. It was during her studies that she was introduced to the Pilates Technique, which profoundly impacted her approach to physical fitness and well-being. The dynamic and fluid nature of Pilates exercises resonated with her, and she was inspired by the rapid and tangible results it delivered in terms of strengthening and toning the body.
After completing her degree, she decided to deepen her involvement in Pilates by pursuing training as a Pilates mat and comprehensive instructor at Pilatesqi Chile. This additional training has allowed Natalia to expand her expertise and share her passion for Pilates with others.
Throughout her career, she has continuously sought out new approaches and methods to enhance her understanding of movement and physical expression. Currently, her primary focus is on integrating the principles of dance and Pilates to create a unique and holistic approach that emphasises fluidity, strength, and the mind-body connection.
Natalia’s commitment to personal and professional growth is unwavering.
